Simonov zaliv

Simonov zaliv (Simon’s Bay) is the most popular beach in Izola, known for its lush Mediterranean vegetation and its family-friendly atmosphere.

How to get there

The beach is located about 1.5 km from the center of Izola. It is easily accessible by walking or cycling along the promenade. A large paid parking lot is situated right next to the beach for those arriving by car.

Why visit?

It is arguably the best beach for families with children in the area, featuring a rare sandy bay, shallow water, a waterslide, and many other recreational facilities. For history buffs, the beach is also the site of an ancient Roman villa archaeological park.
